Reschedule, Reschedule, Reschedule

Adaptability is the name of the game. So we went to the eye doctor on Monday the 9th. The optic nerves were still swollen. Her degree of cross-eyedness was the same. The ultrasound that he wanted was scheduled for this Wednesday the 11th. He thinks the ultrasound can rule out Drussens, which are crystals in the eye that cause the nerve to appear swollen. If the ultrasound is positive for Drussens then we treat conservatively and continue to monitor her. If the ultrasound is negative then we start her on Diamox...a diuretic that works on the specific fluid in the brain. Hoping this would decrease some pressure which would decrease the swelling of the optic nerve. So we had to move around this Wednesday's PT appt for the ultrasound of Aubrey's optic nerve to Thursday. Yeah, the ultrasound did not happen. We practiced and role played, but in the end she was too nervous and scared to do it. So we are now moving up our previously scheduled repeat MRI on November 24th to November 16th. Now I have to reschedule the 2 appts that were already scheduled for Monday the 16th. End scenario, we repeat the MRI this coming Monday. It should tell us two things; one, is the thrombus resolving and two, are there Drussens present. So I will try to keep you posted on those results as I know them. I also have to apologize if I am repeating myself profusely....I forget who, what, and when I have told people stuff. Hope all is well with everyones families. Here is a picture of Aubrey and Jared on the "cow train" at the Corn Maize....she loved it!
