Making Progress

Aubrey went to the eye doctor on Monday. He said that her degree of crossed-eyeness (6th nerve palsy) was less and seemed to be improving. He also thought her eye nerves were possibly a little more swollen. He didn't want to scan (MRI) her yet, but thought we should ultrasound her optic nerve. Apparently, some children have crystals in the back of the eye that can make the eye nerve appear swollen called Drusens. The ultrasound of the eye will show these possible crystals. The results of this exam will help the eye doctor know if the swollen nerve are from a pre-existing condition or only from the head injury. We have our ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday, November 11th. I must say our eye doctor is amazing...he definitely has a gift. Aubrey's occupational therapist, Phillip, came to the house today for her evaluation. Aubrey tested out of occupational therapy!!! He thought she still needed to work with the PT to work on her trunkal stability. Our PT comes on MWF at 930 am. Tomorrow is our first meeting with the outpatient speech therapist. I have a feeling she will also test out of speech too. Here are some pictures from Halloween from my camera. I will post more if I ever get my pictures from my mom! Have a great week all. Oh yeah, we went to the library today....we are slowly trying to get back to our old routine.
