Divine Intervention

They say that things work out for a reason...and I believe that whole-heartedly. Yesterday (Tuesday) we had quite a confusing and frustrating day. We were scheduled for an MRI at 100pm. This means nothing to eat in the morning except for clear liquids. And if anyone knows Aubrey that is not happening. She is a GREAT eater. So Mimi and I distracted her all morning with shopping and driving by parks (it was raining, so no swinging today). We eventually headed to the hopsital to check in for the MRI. The insurance coverage was causing quite a mess. Long story short, the rn that ordered the test had done the paperwork but the admitting people weren't calling her. The admitting staff were trying to send us to the other hospital or we would have to pay for the out-of-network MRI. After multiple, mutiple calls and stern discussions with supervisors we had a spot available for the MRI at UMC (the other hospital, where Jared works). We took Aubrey over there with our orders in hand. UMC was great. They admitted us quickly and took great care of us. The divine intervention becomes evident when we learn the neuroradiologist we already wanted to add to Aubrey's case was the radiologist working at UMC that day. YAY!!! After a long day of NPO staus and running around we got awesome pictures of Aubrey's brain and clot. The neuroradiologist reveiwed all previous scans and the most recent one with Jared and I in his office. We are waiting for all the doctors on Aubrey's case to talk to one another today. We don't believe there will be much change in her plan of care. We may have to do another MRI sooner than we thought (in 3weeks instead of 6-8 weeks). She has done great today! She is moving around her train set by herself (with us hovering her) and walking small distances on her own. The divine intervention was very tiring yesterday, but definitely worth the work. God blessed us real good!
